At Brookland Junior School, Reading for Pleasure is key to our school ethos. To inspire reading and writing, we have regular author visits and book sales throughout the year - not just on World Book Day.

During the 2024-25 academic year, we had whole school assemblies and class workshops from: Neal Zetter (award-winning poet), Joshua Seigal (award-winning poet), Priscilla Mante (author of The Dream Team series) and Hannah Shaw (author of Unipiggle).
