PTFA
What does the PTFA do?
The PTFA (Parent Teachers Friends Assocation) is made up of parents (mums and dads) of current and sometimes former pupils who donate their time to help with raising money for additional items that generally fall outside of the school budget.
What's involved in being a PTFA member?
As much or as little as you can provide. We hold quarterly meetings at the school to organise events and manage the funds generated from them. These informal meetings typically last around 90 minutes, and are also attended by senior staff at the school. There are also several events organised by the PTFA across the school year, such as 'Brookland's got Talent' and the Summer Fete.
Why should you be involved?
In previous years the PTFA has funded items such as laptops for an entire year and entertainment items for children attending the school's breakfast club. With government cuts enforced across all public sectors we are also turning our attention to more essential requirements, ensuring that the children within the school have everything they need for a varied, fun and safe learning experience.
