Our aim is to involve all our pupils in working together with staff to make our school the very best it can be. We have a number of dedicated pupil forums in order to promote leadership across the widest range of pupil groups. These pupil led forums provide an opportunity for everyone to share in decision making and to have their voice heard. We have a reputation for our approach to pupil leadership with local authority advisors and have provided support to other schools in establishing similar systems.
Our Children's Committee is made up of pupils from Years 5 and 6 who are elected by their peers, one from each class. There are also two School Ambassadors who are selected by the Headteacher in Year 5.
The Children's Committee meet monthly on the first Monday of each month for a working lunch with Mr Douglas. Each memebr of the Children's Committee is assigned a link to the School Development Plan giving the children a strategic role in the running of the school.
